Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by 71 runs
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Delhi Daredevils (DD) by 71 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Eden Gardens on Monday. Sunil Narine (3/18) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/32) kept KKR cool in the match and did not ensure that there was never a chance to move towards Delhi. Glenn Maxwell (47) and Rishabh Pant (43) are the only batsmen who gave Delhi an opportunity. However, after being dismissed, Delhi lost completely and competed for a good performance of KKR. Except for Pant and Maxwell, no other Delhi batsman could have scored double-digit runs. Due to lack of partnership with bad shot selection by Delhi batsmen, KKR gave a very important victory.
Nitish Rana (59) and Andre Russell (41) scored Kolkata’s 200/6 in 20 overs against Delhi in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Eden Gardens. After the slow start of KKR, Chris Lynn (31) began to hit the shots to maintain the run rate. Sunil Narine was dismissed for 1 run in the third over. Robin Uthappa took the initiative to hit big shots and make a quick run of 19-ball 35 runs. Rana played magnificent innings and got his fifty. He Russell, who started hitting right from the start, had fully supported. He scored 41 runs in 12 balls with help of six sixes. Delhi returned with some good bowling performance by Rahul Tahitia in the last over as they restrict KKR to 200 runs. Trent Bolt selected the bowlers for Delhi as he returned with the bowling figures of 2/29 and even spoke a medal over.
